Now, in the first of our amazing three-week exclusive specials, here’s Miley on fame, music, her famous dad and cheap shoes…

Q Miley, your life is a bit of a fairytale. What is it like to be one of the most popular teenagers on the planet?

A It’s like a dream come true. I’ve always loved singing, acting and dancing. With Hannah Montana I get to do it all, everything I love. I’ve got the best job in the world.

Q Your dad is Billy Ray Cyrus, known in the UK for his 1990s tune Achy Breaky Heart. Does it annoy you some people will think that helped you get the part?

A No. I auditioned forever. At first Disney said I was too small and too young. I was 11. Anyway I went back a year later when they still hadn’t found anybody and I got the part.

After that dad went for the role of my on-screen dad. I had to audition HIM which was really weird.

Q The show is a massive hit, the soundtrack went quadruple-platinum and the tour sold out in minutes. Why is Hannah Montana so popular?

A i think it’s because the kids can relate to it. It’s not just a programme about Hannah Montana the pop star but also about the normal schoolgirl underneath.

Q The movie that hits our cinema screens on March 14 is a 3D film of your sold-out Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: The Best of Both Worlds concert.

Why did you decide to do that?

A It was mostly because we sold out of tickets for the concerts and people couldn’t come to the show. Making the film 3D makes it better than being in the front row. You can reach out and feel like you can touch my hand, right there and then in front of you. It’s so fun.

When I saw the movie it was like I was at my own concert, which was wild.

Q You sing half the concert as your TV show persona Hannah Montana and half as yourself, Miley Cyrus. Has it helped people see you as a performer in your own right?

A Yeah. It was a really good way of doing that. I got to go out in front of 20,000 people every night and show who I

really am.

Q You are not just a teen star but an entertainment juggernaut. How do you keep any sort of normal life?

A i just do normal things. I still have school for three hours every day. Then instead of soccer after school or cheerleading practice, I go do a concert.

Q We hear you are not just a superstar but also a bit of a genius! Is this true?

A Well, I’m supposed to be in the 9th grade but I’m doing 10th and 11th grade work and I’m looking at things from all these colleges already.

My teacher travels with me all the time.

Q Is it difficult finding true friends now you are famous?

A I’d love to have closer friends, people to talk to. I lost a couple of friends last year. I do what I do and they do what they do. But I think just because the world changes around us, we do not have to change inside.

Q You earned around Û3.5million last year, and are one of the richest under-18s in the world. Is it tempting to splash the cash?

A Under American law 15 per cent of my earnings go into trust so I have no choice but to save. However, I do love to shop - though I don’t always go for clothes that are the most expensive. It doesn’t matter how much something costs. I got Û6 shoes (about £3) and I was like, “Yeah”.

Q What else would you like to buy?

A i turn 16 in November which is when you can get a driving licence in the States. I would love a 1950s Corvette. Black with three white stripes, black interior, red rear-view mirror and red stitching on the seats. With my initials on it.

Q At 15, you hosted the 3D movie premiere. What was that like?

A It’s the craziest thing to be at your own premiere. I’m always walking down other people’s red carpets. Then I realised, “Hold on a minute.This in MY carpet”.

Q You are still very young to get all this fame. Are you worried it might affect you?

A My mom taught me that the most important thing is staying true to yourself.

Q Britney Spears’s sister Jamie Lynn, 16, is pregnant despite being on children’s show Zoey 101. Other former child stars like Lindsay Lohan have gone off the rails. Does that put pressure on you to set a good example?

A It does, but those people’s actions don’t have anything to do with me. You just have your own heart and you have your own soul to kind of help you through life.

I’m friends with Jamie Lynne. She’s excited about the baby, so I’m proud of her.

Q You were born in Nashville, Tennessee and brought up a Christian. Does your faith help you stay grounded?

A Yes. I feel that’s kind of why I’m in Hollywood - to be like a light, a testimony to say God can take someone from Nashville and make me this, but it’s His will that made this happen.

Whenever I go on tour I take a travel Bible. My mom also prints out verses and makes little scrapbooks for me.

Q Are your mum Tish and your dad Ray quite protective?

A For sure. My mom is more strict than my dad. I was also grounded a while ago for being disrespectful.

Q The big question: What about boys? Is there someone special in your life?

A No, not right now. There’s no time.

Q You write most of your own songs. Who are your musical influences?

A i like Beyonce and Faith Hill. But my all-time favourite is Dolly Parton who is in the 3D movie.

Q Do you ever wish that you could just be a regular 15-year-old instead of a teen phenomenon?

A i do sometimes but then again it definitely is fun.

Q Finally, tell me a secret, please Miley.

A This is gross, but I’m addicted to ketchup. I will drink ketchup. It’s my favourite thing in the world. Also, I auditioned my dad Billy Ray Cyrus for a role in the movie.

I’ve been thinking about Miley Cyrus today.
I’m really wondering what you all think about her in a few different ways?

There’s been so much in the news, on blogs, in entertainment magazines and on websites
lately about her, some of it good, some of it bad, some of it rumors, and so I’ve been
wondering what you, the readers of this blog think about her.

Here are some of my questions for you:

1) Is she a good or bad role model for her fans?
2) Are her parents doing good or bad jobs of raising her?
3) Are the recent pictures of her in her underwear, in her bikini, in the bathtub
with her girlfriends and eating licorice with her girlfriend in bad taste or are they ok?
4) Is Miley showing too much skin?
5) What do you think about her and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus not wearing their seatbelts
in a scene from her concert movie?
6) Do you think being friends with Jamie Lynn Spears, who is pregnant at 15 years old will hurt her?

What do you really think about Miley Cyrus?

The upcoming Hannah Montana Movie is a planned film adaptation of the American children’s television series Hannah Montana, to be released in theaters. It has been confirmed by Mitchel Musso, Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus. According to TV Guide, filming will take place in April 2008. The film will be released on May 1, 2009.

In TV Guide, Miley Cyrus said that her father will produce the movie, and that it will most likely premiere in the winter of 2008(Now set for release in May, 2009). Miley Cyrus stated that the producers and cast are making a script. No details on the plot have been released as of yet, but it has been confirmed by Miley Cyrus that the movie will show in cinemas, like The Lizzie McGuire Movie, rather than be a Disney Channel Original Movie. Country Weekly Magazine has reported that Dolly Parton, Heather Locklear, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson could make appearances in the film. Billy Ray Cyrus has also expressed a desire for Willie Nelson to appear.

There was a fun interview with the cast of the Hannah Montana show
added onto one of their DVD’s I rented the other night.

Her real-life family was also interviewed and it was a lot of fun hearing
about the real Miley Cyrus!

First the cast interview: They are all really close and like to play practical
jokes on each other. They said they’re as close off-stage as they are on-stage,
like brothers & sisters.

This was a “behind-the-scenes” picture-taking & interview session with
Hannah Montana, Jason Earles, Mitchell Russo & Emily Osment.

The real-life family interview featured Miley, her Mom, Tish Cyrus, her big sister,
Brandi Cyrus, her little sis, Noah Cyrus and her little brother, Braison Cyrus.
They were just sitting around talking about what it was like growing up in Nashville,
Tennessee and then moving to Los Angeles.

I didn’t know this before but Miley Cyrus used to be a cheerleader in Tennessee.
It’s probably old news to most of you but I bet some of you didn’t know that.

“Nobody knows what’s around the corner, but if you keep yourself out of
the game for fear of losing, there is no way on this earth you’re going to win.”

“The only way to not be in that game is to take yourself out of the game.”

“If you feel like the chance of something wonderful being right around
the corner are only only one in a million, why can’t you be that one?”

“Live your dreams but never forget who your friends & family are!”

You can watch Miley Cyrus on FOX TV April 9, 2008 when she will participate in
“Idol Gives Back”, a benefit telethon that will benefit US charities that deliver
support (medical care, groceries and literacy programs) to underprivileged
children around the country. Funds will also go to organizations in Africa to
benefit health and education programs there and to help battle poverty.

In addition to Miley, this year’s star-studded event will feature Brad Pitt,
U2’s Bono, Fergie, John Legend, and Mariah Carey.
More artists are expected to be announced at a later date.

This will be the second time this wonderful event has taken place. Last year
$76 million was raised to make it the largest charitable TV event in the world!

This program is the brainchild of “American Idol” creator and executive producer
Simon Fuller.

Last year’s show featured a telethon portion and a musical portion, so it’s
a pretty good bet that Miley will be performing at least one of her songs.

The only question is will she be performing as Hannah Montana or Miley Cyrus?

Yes Hannah Montana fans, there is a new Hannah Montana Movie coming to a theatre near you!
Filming for it begins in May of 2008 in Los Angeles and Tennessee.

The movie sounds an awfully lot like the Disney Channel TV show. Here’s the plot:
Miley Stewart might seem like an average girl but she isn’t.
She moved from Tennessee to Malibu and is adapting to a new lifestyle.
Miley has a huge secret only known by her dad and manager, Robbie Ray,
her brother, Jackson, and her two best friends, Lilly and Oliver.
Miley’s huge secret is that she leads a double life as the famous pop singer,
Hannah Montana along with her friend Lilly who also has a double life as Lola, Hannah’s friend.

The movie will star Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana and Miley Stewart,
Billy Ray Cyrus as Robbie Stewart, Emily Osment as Lilly Truscott,
Jason Earles as Jackson Steward and Mitchel as Oliver Oken.

Miley Cyrus, also known as that adorable TV star, movie star, pop star and now live-concert star,
Hannah Montana, is getting a bad rap and I don’t like it!

Miley is being compared to Britney Spears on one blog as “the next most likely teen star to go Britney Spears on us.”
She’s not going to “go Britney” on us, no way! I’ll bet money on it! She’s got a good head on her shoulders
and she uses it for good, not bad. She knows exactly what she is doing and she’s doing it well.

There’s a site I saw yesterday that I won’t even mention the name of that is dedicated to putting
Hannah Montana down, making fun of her, hating her and even wanting her dead! Come on now!
Wanting her dead? She’s just a teenage popstar having a great time with her life!
Why don’t you guys & girls just let her be and let her do her thing?
What’s it to you and what’s your problem?

So some pictures of her in her underwear, in a bathing suit, in a bathtub with two other girls,
eating a pie of red licorice with her girlfriend (without using hands) are going around the internet.
So what I ask again? She’s having fun and she’s only 15 years old. They’re not “bad” pics and she’s not a “bad” girl.
Those pictures were “released” for pubcity and marketing and to cause a stir and to create a buzz, and it worked!

She’s a “Disney Girl”, a star of a Disney TV show, and a lot more than that. She has so much going for her
right now that she’s not about to mess up a good thing. She’s not that stupid.

This girl, Miley Cyrus, Hannah Montana, hottest teenage popstar in the world, knows a good thing when she sees one,
and she sees one every time she looks in the mirror.

Then there’s her Dad, Billy Ray Cyrus. He’s been around show business long enough to know exactly what he’s doing
with not only his own career but with Miley’s career as well. Miley has been around show business her whole life
and her Dad has coached her in every aspect of it. He’s not about to let her mess up her career.

Let’s give them both a break, ok?
Neither Miley Cyrus or Hannah Montana are going to turn out like Britney Spears.

The Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus, Best of Both Worlds Concert is a musical documentary film from Walt Disney Pictures shown in Disney Digital 3-D.

The limited release was intended to be for one week, February 1-7, 2008 (Super Bowl weekend) in the US and Canada with release in other countries later on, but then was extended for viewing as long as theatres wanted.

Disney recently announced the concert was filmed in several cities to be released in the US in February and to the rest of the world throughout the month. The movie viewers get to wear 3-D glasses to watch the movie in 3-D.

It was the number one movie of the weekend, more than doubling the receipts of the number two movie, “The Eye”. Opening in only 638 theaters, it set a record of over $42,000 per theater. It also set a record for the highest revenue for a 3-D movie for one weekend. Finally, it set a record for gross revenue for a Super Bowl weekend.

The film shows Miley Cyrus on her Best of Both Worlds Tour as Hannah Montana, with film clips taken from her performance in Salt Lake City, Utah. Behind-the-scenes clips are shown also, showing the conversion from Hannah Montana to Miley Cyrus backstage, and the atmosphere of the production. It is noted that there’s no connection with the television series since this is a concert combined with documentary elements.

Critics gave the film pretty much favorable reviews. As of February 19, 2008, the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes reported that 85% of critics gave the film positive reviews, based on 26 reviews. Metacritic reported the film had an average score of 59 out of 100, based on 13 reviews.

The 3D Hannah Montana movie brought in $8,651,758 on its opening day, and continued on to have $31,117,834 in ticket sales to finish off the weekend, making it the highest-grossing opening weekend for a film to be released on less than 1000 screens.

The movie is not only the highest-grossing 3D movie 3-Day release, its also the highest-grossing concert movie and highest opening weekend during Super Bowl Weekend.

The following Monday, it pulled in $3,253,205. Among films that had fewer than 1,000 screens on opening day, the film ranked second only behind Borat. Hannah opened with $8.6 million on 683 screens and Borat opened with $9.2 million on 837 screens.

It averaged $45,560 per screen in its opening weekend, giving it the highest average per theater of all time for a limited release film.

At last count, total Box Office sales are up to $61,951,322! That’s almost 62 million dollars!!!
